Drivers beware…intersection ahead.

Noisy, crowded, rowdy, challenging and confusing intersections.
Each journey has a few of these…loud jeers, alternative offers, comparable ‘trade-in’ options and more but stay alert.

The last intersection I crossed was littered with broken dreams of various shapes and sizes…Grandiose dreams with poked holes – Deflated and Abandoned. Fool proof faith stance punctuated with ‘perceived’ sense of reason and mental assent. A patched land with rusty metals, all remains of a bright yesterday gone south.

My father figure Abraham, fondly referred to as the Father of Faith encountered ‘his’ in Romans 4:18-19 and boy, looked at what he did.

verse 18 states that…"When everything was hopeless, Abraham believed anyway, deciding to live not on the basis of what he saw he couldn’t do but on what God said he would do. And so he was made father of a multitude of peoples. God himself said to him, "You’re going to have a big family, Abraham!" (Message)

19 Abraham didn’t focus on his own impotence and say, "It’s hopeless. This hundred-year-old body could never father a child." Nor did he survey Sarah’s decades of infertility and give up. 20 He didn’t tiptoe around God’s promise asking cautiously skeptical questions. He plunged into the promise and came up strong, ready for God."

At your intersections or cross roads you must shift GEARS from what you ‘SEE’ to what you ‘HEARD’. A wise man once said, "don’t abandon in the ‘dark’ what was promised in the ‘light’."

Shift gears from ‘can’t do it’ to He said I can do all things…
Shift gears from ‘maybe’ to He said if I believe all things are possible…
Shift gears from ‘doubt’ to faith…
Shift gears from ‘sickness’ to health…
Shift gears from ‘selfishness’ to selflessness…
Shift gears from ‘you’ to us…

So ignore the neon lights, ignore the obvious – how you feel, what you see and ignore the ‘gamers’ – ‘tiptoeing’ around God’s promises. Just dive in, head first into God’s sure word. What do you stand to lose anyway ? Nothing. Believe me NOTHING.

Overwhelming grace to you and yours.
