Dear Lady, you are somebody!

You are somebody!

A girl or lady who is ‘paralyzed’ by a lack of external validation doesn’t know her true worth. A prized possession doesn’t wait for some guy to tell her, she knows that truth already, the ‘extras’ from guys simply re-affirm’ what she already knows.

Dear lady, you are somebody!

This image (quote) reminds me of my son’s playful prank of calling his mum ‘pretty’ and shortly thereafter blurting out …and oh yeah, you are "pretty" ugly. Likewise, this comment reads similarly and deserves the same treatment, it is "cute and pretty", but simply, pretty ugly!

Every girl must first know her worth, this process starts with her parent(s) and eventually becomes her ‘own’ responsibility of affirming and confirming her worth. Let’s agree, "Every girl is ‘good enough’."

Here are some reasons why I believe in a girl’s value, all divinely inspired and gleaned from scriptures.

God said;
"I have loved you with an everlasting love."

"You are on my mind continuously."

"…But you are a chosen people."

You are royalty!

You are a holy nation!

You are my (God’s ) very own possession.

You belong to a great family.

You are the recipient of God’s mercy.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

You are a marvel.

"The thoughts I have towards you are good thoughts and they are designed to bring you to an expected end."

You are the apple of God’s eyes.

Don’t forget who you are…if others do not see your worth, it’s them that’s blind and not you. Their blindness doesn’t change and shouldn’t make you doubt who you are…you are somebody!
